I am almost ready to give up my 3 recievers..Ispend hundreds of $$ per year.so how many of you have got this message?
"This is your chance to keep listening online at no charge. After March 11th premium online listening will cost for $2.99** per month."
The channels have changed, not for the better, even Bubba's show is not live anymore, except on Friday, and now they want another $36.00 per year after promising online would be free to subscribers? I dont trust anything that anyone including Howard says about Sirius/XM as it is all spin...your thoughts?

Wow, three reciever. I only rotate out one between my car and home.

I think the company is desperate right now and any way they could "milk" the subs, they will. I don't listen on-line, so that doesn't effect me. Hell, I remember having had to buy a new radio and they actually tried to sell me another subscription to add to the one I had. I told him I don't need two subscriptions since I switch out the radios from car to home. He said that I wasn't supposed to be doing that and that I'm supposed to pay for two. I "promisd" him that I won't and the just fuckin' switch over the radio. (fuckin' prick).

I have a feeling they're charging for on-line listenng because people are giving out their usernames and passwords to their friends, and just passing it on.

I don't actually mind Bubba's show not being live, my thoughts are, better have some Bubba than no Bubba. Plus, I actually like when he does a straight show. I will say that if SIRIUS XM doesn't keep him after whatever Howard's gonna do, they will lose a ton of listners. I'll probably stick around since I do like the music stations.

I have three subs; one lifetime and 2 half priced ones. The lifetime is my old PNP1 that I have locked into a boombox that I have in the garage. I try not to touch it at all as I only have three change outs before it dies. One is a Stratus that I used in my personal truck and swapped out with my work vehicle. The last one is a Sportster that we keep in the house. It might be a bit overkill, but it's nice to have the back-ups.

The only thing I see with the premium online cost is for the CD-quality sound, everything else should work normal. On a side note, I gave one of my online passwords to my sister so she can listen while she's out of the country.

You do know that you can only sign on from one PC at a time? If a bud signs on from his place you can't from yours. You actually have to call him and tell him to log out. At least this is how it works for me.

BTW Sirius is fucked for what they did to Bubba. They put him out on front street like that. Then Bubba got all those e-mails calling him a company mark which is partly true. Bubba did allow it to happen. I understand why but the end result's the same. He punked out IMB. Then Sirius goes and pays a no talent, no bringing any new subscribers and nothing to the table d00d by the name of "mad-dogg" millions while punking Bubba. This is a "sirius" daisy chain with us, the listeners, getting BBed.

I'm with you.. I've had sirius for about 4 years now. My family has 3 receivers.. one for each car, and one at home.

With money being tight, and sirus/xm pissing me off i'm about to cancel.

    Hey Katana.

I'm with you. From them screwing us/Bubba to them removing 90% of the music channels that I listened to/replaced them with similar channels but changed the song rotation to include more awful "B-sides" than normal ..... and now this? I do listen online, occassionally, when I'm at home and think that this is absolutely unacceptable. We were told that streaming Sirius online was "FREE" with a paid subscription.

I'm thinking I'm done once Howard leaves ..... I may ... just possibly .... think about .... reconsidering this move if they keep Bubba, full time, 5 days a week live and uncensored.

    Maybe.

And tell them to stick streaming up their ass.

    Oh, 2 subscriptions here.

Can this be legally challenged? One of the provisors for the XM/Sirius merger was that they were not to raise prices for at least one year.

I have a feeling since they might be "upping" the charges is because it looks like Howard is hinting about resigning. And Uncle Howie of course is going to want more $ratch...wouldn't be surprised if he'd become an executive there.
